My name is Katie and I enjoy social media, photography, blogging, yoga, gin cocktails, beauty (specifically skin care!), adventures and street style fashion.
My professional life sees me as a communicator and photographer of sorts and I’m always up for a challenge. Currently my day job sees me as an award winning Social Media Manager at TMW Unlimtied (a digital marketing agency located in London’s Soho), where I’ve work with several clients, including Unilever & RB brands. Before that I was Social Media Manager client-side at Wowcher. In the past I’ve written for various publications including British Journal of Photography, photographed several art parties in London and have also done community moderation for Qype.co.uk‘s (which has been bought by Yelp) online community.
Outside of the working week you will probably find me blogging over at Call Me Katie, posting to my Instagram or tweeting. If I’m offline I’ll most likely be at the yoga studio, checking out a new restaurant or jetsetting for an adventure.
Originally from New England, I moved to London, England, in September 2010 to earn an MA in international journalism from City University. Before that I was living in Boston, Massachusetts, where I completed a BA in communication and art at Simmons College. This degree was mostly taught in Boston, though I did travel for summer classes: London and China for art history and South Africa for journalism with a human rights perspective. I also studied journalism at London College of Communication as part of a semester abroad programme.
Always in search of creative inspiration, for personal pleasure I’ve visited a bunch of countries including Brazil, Morocco, Mexico, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece and Portugal. (If you’re interestd, I’ve blogged about many of these adventures over at Call Me Katie!) My passport has extra pages to accommodate all these stamps and visas, and I like to think myself a jet lag-conquering champion.
If there’s a project you’d like to work on together or if you just fancy saying hi, I’m always happy to chat!
